Non-stop til problems plagued the girl

And her solar panels; she’ll hit the seas later
Haiti ’s situation is still out of order
Few Americans got stopped at the border
The airlifts stopped over there
Because Florida fears the lack of state health care
Toyota ’s new cars are special
If you step on the pedal, it might not let go

They had a recall to eliminate the wreckage
Pedal to the medal is not a good message
Yeah, we’re on cruise control
Like the Colts and the Saints in the Super Bowl
Two great teams, so it’s too close
To predict the outcome of it. “Who’s gonna win?” Who knows?
I’ll be sitting watching, and eating dinner with the family

Some people probably hoped he’d choke, secretly,
But nobody yelled out “you lie!”
Maybe that’s why he seemed so energized,
He said “I don’t quit” and ‘we need jobs,‘

But unemployment? That’s a rising rate,
And it’s so hard to govern these divided states,

But all the colors came together like Benetton,
To raise millions for the Haiti Telethon,
Did you donate? I pray the answer is yes,
You can give to the cause just by sending a text,
If you’re in a Toyota , better pump the brakes,
They recalled lots of the cars they made,
And Bin Laden? He just dropped a new tape,
For the Christmas bomber, Osama had praise,

Holy clipboard Batman! It’s the Census,
More rare than the Olympic events, it’s
So we can count the whole US population,
Going around the nation collecting information,
Will Brett’s last pass be an interception?
Or will Brett Favre go farther?
One week till Superbowl season,
Will the Saints go marching or the colts stampeding?

The supreme court heard a case and said things,
Then struck down a law on campaign spending,
Here come elections with way more ads,
You can keep tabs on it with the new iPad,
A computer you touch, that seems simple,
And critics want to know if it will burn the Kindle,

While in America we Race to The Top/

Obama’s education plan cannot be stopped/

So if a state says they don’t wanna get cheese/

A school district can apply directly/

Let’s see – something to jot down/

The newest Senator from Massachusetts, Scott Brown/

He’s their first Republican since the seventies/

Its easier to win when you’re not up against the Kennedy’s/

Instead of “Peace” we’re gonna say “bye”/

It seems there’s a Japanese company failing/

They struck a Sea Shepard boat/

And broke off the bow/

I guess the Whale Wars have really opened up now

2009: The Year in Rap

When the ball dropped on 2009,
The economy was bad, I ain’t gonna be lying,
Unemployment was high and it started to climb,
Bush was our President for short of time,
On January 20th, the first black President,
Obama, stepped in like a veteran,
Beyonce sang “At Last” –
Then Etta James said that she would whup her fast,
So Obama got a stimulus passed,
Hundreds of billion in cash,
Some thought the spending wasn’t okay,
So the threw more tea parties than Earl Grey,
It’s sorta major that Sotomayor,
Is the first Latino on the Supreme Court,
Health reform? Wait for the medicine,
Didn’t happen, we’ll check in again in 2010.

Devon “TeeDome”:
Iran chose their president for tomorrow,
People thought he cheated, and protests followed,
We saw Iceland’s money declined,
So bleak, they even had to close Mickey D’s,
The world seemed troubled at times,
Packed with conflicts in 2 double-0 9,
North Korea held two US journalists captive,
Until Bill Clinton got active ,
Ukraine and Russia had a fight,
Over gas when Russia cut off the supply,
Leaving Europeans in need of petroleum,
Other wars show no signs of folding in,
In Afghanistan we’re at war too,
The prez is about to send over more troops,
Promote peace, that’s the best way
We can improve for the next decade.

Dillon:
2009 saw plenty of action,
Let’s start with a shout out to Michael Jackson,
The King of Pop had us all wishing he was living,
And when he died, he nearly took the internet with him,
But it won’t stop the party,
And celebration for the discovery of “Ardi”
The oldest known human ancestor remains,
And if ya look at us today man it ain’t much changed,
Its strange – knowing that there’s water on the moon,
And with Global Warming dude, we could be moving there soon,
And the net is ridiculous,
A year ago, nobody could tell you what “Twitter” is,
09 was great, but for some, hit or miss,
Like Kanye West when he dissed Taylor Swift,

2009 was fine, in 2010 we’ll be back!

Good morning, y’all caught me in a good mood,
It’s Friday and I ain’t got stuff to do,
It’s kind a nice knowing that Al Gore’s not the only dude
Warning us of Global Warming,
So many countries trying to get this fixed,
In Copenhagen, it’s like the nerd Olympics,
But can we go green without hurting business?

The best thing in Switzerland since Swiss Miss,
Oh, I know what I want for Christmas,
Health Reform is on my wish list,
Our senators will pass it soon if they’re able,
But it seems the public option is off the table,
Obama said the economy might be coming back,
But he’s not counting all his chicks till they hatch,
I think I know what he’s trying to say,
You know what’s bigger than Hawaiian waves?
In Mexico the drug trade is making slugs spray,
It’s so ill, everyday somebody gets killed,
Wars in Juarez, gun smoke and targets,
Border towns like this get hit the hardest,
And school lunch meat got bad grades,
Is it horse? No! It’s beef but it’s not that great,
I don’t know who to hold guilty,
For the fact that some water out the tap is filthy,
And here’s something that I hate,
There’s more violence between teens who date,
Honestly, I think these kids need help,
You’re 17 and you can’t even control yourself?
Step your game up, are your hearing that?

But he plays golf so why do we try to know more?/
War - in Afghanistan is on and poppin/
President Obama’s gotta a military option/

Health reform is half way home, don’t forget it,

The house approved a bill, now it’s off to the senate,

Republicans didn’t think it was fine,

Democratic party partied like 1999,

Some things in the news leave me breathless,

Like the shooting at Fort Hood in Texas,

Obama and thousands paid respects,

But it won’t bring those 13 back from the dead,

Nearly a third of teens who want to work,

Can’t find jobs, it’s kind of absurd,

So many people feel poor, even Sally,

Lost her job selling sea shells by the sea shore,

And Peter Piper went to college and got graded,

Now Peter Piper’s back picking peppers and he hates it,

Hope he doesn’t have to be pan-handling,

At least Obama has a choice in Afghanistan,

With four options for the number of troops,

Could send thousands or just a couple of dudes,

Here’s a piece of advice that’s enlightening,

Don’t cross the border of Iran when you’re hiking,

Ok? Their government’s not inviting,

Instead of “hi,” they might accuse you of spying,

It all falls down like the Berlin Wall,

It divided a world, it wasn’t that tall,

But the wall was a symbol of us vs. them,

When it broke up, it made us just friends,

Next thing you know, she hit the floor,

Because some school dances have kids signing,
